Bridging and Family Picnic
Announcing details for our annual bridging and family picnic!
We are looking forward to having you all join us for our annual bridging ceremonies and end-of-year family picnic on June 8th. If you are new to Bluffview, “bridging” is the celebration of students who are moving to the next level–kindergartners, 3rd, 6th, and 8th graders. We welcome families of these students to join the celebration according to the schedule below.
Bridging Schedule: June 8, 2023 | |
9-10 a.m. | Children’s House Bridging Ceremony–Gym |
10-11 a.m. | E1 and E2 Bridging Ceremony–Gym
CH will host activities in classrooms or outside; CH families can check in with classrooms for hot dog tickets and sign out students for the picnic. |
11 a.m. | CH and Erdkinder students and families line-up for lunch near the library
E1 and E2 families can take bridging pictures, check in with classrooms for hot dog tickets, and sign out students for picnic. Erdkinder students should also be signed out if attending the picnic with a parent or guardian. |

Additional notes for the day:
- The attached permission form went home with students in green folders yesterday.
- Families will need to pick up hot dog tickets from their student’s classroom teacher before the picnic. Tickets for family members/guardians will be with the youngest or only child’s teacher.
- Siblings are welcome to join families for the bridging celebration and would need to be signed out from their classroom teacher or assistant.
Explorers of the Week
Two of the many Bluffview Montessori Students demonstrating virtuous behavior this week:
Maicyn Amos is a Kindergarten student of Ms. Megan’s CH2 classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of excellence when she followed all classroom PE rules and had excellent behavior. Maicyn’s favorite work in the classroom is the frog book, and she loves Bluffview because she has music class. Maicyn’s favorite activity outside of school is going outside. Maicyn is the daughter of Kasey & Tegan Amos.
Adonis Bennett is a Kindergarten student of Ms. Megan’s CH2 classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of respect when he followed all instructions and demonstrated classroom rules in PE. Adonis’s favorite work in the classroom is the 100 board, and he loves Bluffview because he doesn’t have homework. Adonis’s favorite activity outside of school is playing outside. Adonis is the son of Kaitlyn Bennett.
E1 & E2 May Display
E1 and E2 students will be presenting their projects at our annual May Display Day on Tuesday, May 30 from 1 – 2 pm. Come and see what the students have been working hard to create!
