We are hiring for the following positions:

  • Behavior Interventionist
    Position Overview
    The Behavior Interventionist provides quality instruction, support, monitoring, and training using research-based positive behavior management techniques, intervention strategies, coping skills, and problem solving for students with behavioral challenges. The Behavior Interventionist provides training and support to staff in the area of behavior management.
    Licensure and Certification Requirements
    BA/BS from an accredited university and/or a valid Minnesota teaching license. CPR/First Aid/Anaphylaxis certification or ability to acquire it. Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification or ability to acquire it.
    Education and Experience Preferences
    MA/MS in special education, emotional and behavioral disability/school psychologist/school social worker/behavior analyst / school counselor or related field. Successful teaching experience in related field. Adaptable to Montessori Philosophy. 
  • Elementary Teacher
    Position Overview
    Elementary teachers provide quality instruction rooted in the Montessori philosophy and aligned with state and national standards. Elementary teachers use a variety of assessment strategies, including diagnostic, formative and summative, to inform instructional decisions and increase student self-management of learning.
    Licensure and Certification Requirements
    Minnesota teaching license in Elementary Education (K-6). Have or agree to obtain an AMI, AMS or NCME certification.
    Education and Experience Preferences
    MA/MS in education. Prior successful experience student teaching or teaching. Demonstrated continued professional development through coursework, research, peer collaboration and/or job-embedded staff development. Ability to acquire Crisis Prevention and Intervention certification.
  • Information Technology Intern
    Position Overview
    The Information Technology Support Intern will provide direct technical assistance and support to staff for network, hardware and software issues.   Intern will also work directly with the school’s contracted I.T. management organization personnel to ensure the school’s technology is as appropriate and functional as possible.  This is a learning opportunity for the intern as well, to build skills while working in a professional setting with support.
    Licensure and Certification Requirements
    Must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate level degree in business, communications or computer related field. Minimum of two years of college or trade school education in a business, communications or computer related field.
    Additional Requirements
    Endorsement by University staff as appropriate. Must be available to work onsite at least 4 hours per week. Must be vetted/interviewed by staff from contracted I.T. management organization to ensure skill set and ability to perform the job. Availability for a full BMS semester or more.
  • Special Education Paraprofessional
    Position Overview
    Paraprofessionals provide assistance to students with disabilities by offering support needed in any and all areas to remove/overcome barriers to a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) while aiding them in fulfilling the goals of their Individual Education Programs (IEP) as directed by the student’s primary teacher and special education case manager.
    Licensure and Certification Requirements
    Two years of college (60 semester credits) or successful completion of the paraprofessional assessment. Crisis Prevention and Intervention training or ability to acquire it.
    Education and Experience Preferences
    Crisis Prevention and Intervention certificate or ability to acquire it. Successful previous work with children in an educational setting.

  • Substitute para professionals are always needed (minimum of 60 post secondary credits required OR successful completion of Para Pro Test – can arrange to complete test with the school).
  • Substitute teachers are always needed (license required).
  • Substitute teacher assistants are always needed (minimum of high school diploma required).
  • Substitute kitchen assistants.
