Elementary 2B

Hello, My name is Cindy Gerdes. I am very excited to be returning to a Montessori classroom as a classroom assistant after 15 years in family daycare. I look forward to assisting Ms. Kaitlyn in creating an inspiring, peaceful learning environment and sharing my love of science and reading with our students.

I live in rural Winona county with my husband Neil and my dog Scout. I love kayaking, camping, swimming and just about anything outdoors. My two favorite pastimes are spending time with my grandchildren and children and gardening. My grandchildren and I have started a small business called Gerdes Grands Garden, combining my two favorite things to do. I look forward to this coming school year and getting to be part of the Bluffview community and our classroom community.

I have been teaching for a few years and have loved it more and more each year! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in early childhood and a minor in reading instruction. I recently completed my Masters program in Learning Experience Design and Educational Technology.

I also love to go hiking, kayaking, and spending time with my family. I am married to my wonderful husband. We have 2 kids with another coming this December! I also have a dog and cat that are too smart for their own good. I am excited to become part of Bluffview’s community!
