Two of the many Bluffview Montessori Students demonstrating virtuous behavior this week:
Carlee Rudnik is a 2nd grade student of Ms. Kiersten’s E1B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of purposefulness when she consistently begins working on “Have-Tos” work and turns in her work plan at the beginning of work time. Carlee’s favorite work in the classroom is maps, and she loves Bluffview because of her friends. Carlee’s favorite activity outside of school is drawing, and she wants to be an art teacher when she grows up. Carlee is the daughter of Matt & Shannon Rudnik.
Charley Moyer is a Kindergarten student of Ms. Anna’s CH3 classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of consideration when he put his handwriting book away and volunteered to put many books away on the floor. Charley’s favorite work in the classroom is the spindle box and he loves Bluffview because of lunch and Ms. Cindy. Charley’s favorite activity outside of school is going to Grandma’s house, and he wants to be a teacher when he grows up. Charley is the son of Sarah Moyer and Kory Pronschinske.

Reminder: There is a fee of $1.75 for each additional entree students get at lunch time. This includes if students get a 2nd piece of pizza. A 2nd milk (or first for those bringing cold lunch) is $0.55.

Justin Clark is a 6th grade student of Ms. Amy E2C classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtues of caring and compassion when he helped cheer a friend up that was having a rough morning. Justin’s favorite class is PE, and he loves Bluffview because of the Compass Slips students can receive. Justin’s favorite activity outside of school is playing video games, and he wants to be a mechanic when he grows up. Justin is the son of Joe & Melinda Clark.
Ethan Klinger is a 6th grade student of Mrs. Kaul’s E2A classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of service when he helped clean up a large work carefully without complaint. Ethan’s favorite subject is science and he loves Bluffview because of recess, PE, the basketball hoops, the school staff, and the wide variety of instruments. Ethan’s favorite activity outside of school is hockey, and he wants to be a professional hockey goalie or famous video game player/youtuber when he grows up. Ethan is the son of Eric & Wendy Klinger.

Cora Runningen is a 1st grade student of Ms. Kiersten’s E1B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of courage when she performed loud and proud at the E1 concert. Cora’s favorite work in the classroom is the money work, and she loves Bluffview because there is no homework. Cora’s favorite activities outside of school are playing outside and getting snacks, and she wants to be a dinosaur scientist when she grows up. Cora is the daughter of Lee & Stephanie Runningen.
Melody Urbick is a 1st grade student of Ms. Kiersten’s E1B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of perseverance when she finished all 15 levels of her lessons. Melody’s favorite work in the classroom is the trace magical triangles work and she loves Bluffview because she can get compass slips. Melody’s favorite activities outside of school are making things like her robo dog and playing with her favorite toy, rainbow scrubbies, because she can draw animals and then wipe them off. She wants to be a police officer when she grows up. Melody is the daughter of Jonathan & Michelle Urbick.

Colter Tomesh is a 6th grade student of Mrs. Kaul’s E2A classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of responsibility when he independently asked to get homework for his sick sibling from her teacher. Colter’s favorite subject in the classroom is science, and he loves Bluffview because of his friends. Colter’s favorite activities outside of school are mountain biking and building legos. Colter is the son of Cory & Lauren Tomesh.
Zooey Teichroew is a 5th grade student of Mrs. Kaul’s E2A classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of courage when she participated in the spelling bee. Zooey’s favorite subjects are all of them and she loves Bluffview because of her friends and because of the work. Zooey’s favorite activity outside of school is art, and she wants to be a vet or teacher when she grows up. Zooey is the daughter of Heather & Jacob Teichroew.

It is Enrollment Time for Bluffview Montessori School!
January is an important time for enrollment for Bluffview Montessori School for the 2024-2025 school year. Parents need to complete one of the following forms for each of their children:
Students entering grades 1-8 (presently in grades Kindergarten through grade 7) – complete and return the “Intent to Return Form” by January 31, 2024. These should be completed if you plan to return OR if you plan to transfer schools for the 2024-2025 school year. This will help determine the number of open spots available to new applicants during our lottery in early February.
STUDENTS ENTERING KINDERGARTEN – COMPLETE AND RETURN THE “CHARTER SCHOOL APPLICATION” FORM BY JANUARY 31, 2024 TO BE INCLUDED IN THE LOTTERY IN EARLY FEBRUARY. THE APPLICATION FORM MUST BE COMPLETED FOR ALL STUDENTS ENTERING KINDERGARTEN!
Students who are already attending the three year old program and who want to return for the 2024-2025 school year – complete and return the “Children’s House Intent to Return Form” by January 31, 2024.For new students entering preschool, complete and return the “Children’s House Application“.

Michael McCarthy is a 3rd grade student of Ms. Mariah’s E1C classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtues of diligence and creativity when he completed parts of the earth with beauty and accuracy. Michael’s favorite subject in the classroom is science, and he loves recess at Bluffview. Michael’s favorite activity outside of school is gaming, and he wants to be an astronaut when he grows up. Michael is the son of Mike & Samantha McCarthy.
Alina Sershen is a 4th grade student of Ms. Zahrte’s E2B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of peacefulness when she contributed to a peaceful environment. Alina’s favorite subject is PE and she loves Bluffview because she can make new friends, especially when moving to the next level. Alina’s favorite activity outside of school is playing with friends, and she wants to be an artist, gymnast, or teacher when she grows up. Alina is the daughter of Michelle & Josh Hessler and Heath Sershen.
