COVID tests available
As many of you know, COVID has reared its ugly head again and we have seen an increase in cases. We have many tests available. If you need a test, please contact us in the office and you can either pick one up or we can send it home with your student. Thank you!

It is Enrollment Time for Bluffview Montessori School!
January is an important time for enrollment for Bluffview Montessori School for the 2024-2025 school year. Parents need to complete one of the following forms for each of their children:
Students entering grades 1-8 (presently in grades Kindergarten through grade 7) – complete and return the “Intent to Return Form” by January 31, 2024. These should be completed if you plan to return OR if you plan to transfer schools for the 2024-2025 school year. This will help determine the number of open spots available to new applicants during our lottery in early February.
STUDENTS ENTERING KINDERGARTEN – COMPLETE AND RETURN THE “CHARTER SCHOOL APPLICATION” FORM BY JANUARY 31, 2024 TO BE INCLUDED IN THE LOTTERY IN EARLY FEBRUARY. THE APPLICATION FORM MUST BE COMPLETED FOR ALL STUDENTS ENTERING KINDERGARTEN!
Students who are already attending the three year old program and who want to return for the 2024-2025 school year – complete and return the “Children’s House Intent to Return Form” by January 31, 2024.For new students entering preschool, complete and return the “Children’s House Application“.

Explorers of the Week
Two of the many Bluffview Montessori Students demonstrating virtuous behavior this week:
JR Lumsden is a 4th grade student of Ms. Zahrte’s E2B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of diligence when he completed a lot of work independently. JR’s favorite subject in the classroom is math, and he loves Bluffview because there are no desks and there is freedom to move around as needed. JR’s favorite activity outside of school is exercising, and he wants to be an artist or influencer when he grows up. JR is the son of Sarah Lumsden and Patrick Lumsden.
Bob Kendall is a Kindergarten student of Ms. Megan’s CH2 classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of courtesy when he took trash out of the milk bucket and put it in the garbage. Bob’s favorite work in the classroom is coloring and he loves coloring at Bluffview. Bob’s favorite activities outside of school are playing with his dad and coloring, and he wants to be a doctor when he grows up. Bob is the son of Olivia & Samuel Kendall.

Fiona Dunbar is a 5th grade student of Ms. Amy’s E2C classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of peacefulness when she contributed to a peaceful environment in library. Fiona’s favorite subject in the classroom is math, and she loves Bluffview because students can work at their own pace. Fiona’s favorite activity outside of school is ballet. Fiona is the daughter of Alan & Ann-Marie Dunbar.
Lucas Mangum is a Kindergarten student of Mr. Josh’s CH1 classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of cleanliness when he picked up all markers and pencils. Lucas’s favorite work in the classroom is drawing and he loves Bluffview because of the pets. Lucas’s favorite activity outside of school is playing with his guinea pigs. Lucas is the son of Daddio & Tiffany Mangum.

Explorers of the Week
Two of the many Bluffview Montessori Students demonstrating virtuous behavior this week:
Zyla Porter is a preschool student of Mr. Josh’s CH1 classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of cleanliness when she cleaned the snack table and swept the floor. Zyla’s favorite work in the classroom is snowflakes, and she loves Bluffview because she gets to play big chicken outside. Zyla’s favorite activities outside of school are playing and eating snacks, and she wants to be Princess Peach when she grows up. Zyla is the daughter of Spartel Porter and Brian Porter.
Phineas Schilling is a 3rd grade student of Ms. Kiersten’s E1B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtues of helpfulness and kindness when he helped pick up after counseling group and used awesome manners. Phineas’s favorite work in the classroom is the times board and he loves Bluffview because the teachers are really kind. Phineas’s favorite activities outside of school are watching tv, coloring, and eating pretzels with nutella, and he wants to be an artist or paleontologist when he grows up. Phineas is the son of Mackenzie Morning & Jesse Schilling.
