Bridging Ceremonies/Picnic
Bridging day is fast approaching! For those of you who haven’t attended a bridging ceremony before, it is a ceremony that marks a significant period of growth in a child’s life. Students who are transitioning from one level to the next are honored for the person they are and the growth they have made. For Bluffview, this includes Kindergarteners, 3rd, 6th, and 8th graders. The bridge is a concrete representation of crossing into a new stage of development.
The schedule and info for bridging is as follows:
Wednesday, June 8
Children’s House (Kindergarten Bridging)
9-10 amE1 & E2 (3rd Graders & 6th Graders Bridging)
10-11 amErdkinder (8th Graders Bridging)
5:30 pmThe morning bridging ceremonies will be outside behind the library at our pergola and garden. The 8th grade ceremony will be in the gym.
There is also a picnic for all Bluffview students and families 11 – 1:30 that will feature a family band and games.
Bring camp chairs for the picnic and bridging ceremonies!

Explorers of the Week
Two of the many students demonstrating virtues this week:
Noah Smith is a 3rd grade student in Ms. Amy’s E1A classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of enthusiasm when he joyfully accepted a job during library. Noah’s favorite work in the classroom is the money box, and he loves Bluffview because the teachers are fun and kind. Noah’s favorite activity outside of school is reading. Noah is the son of Tina Smith and Clarence Smith.
Breann Loos is a 3rd grade student of Ms. Kiersten’s E1B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of helpfulness when she helped weed our school flower garden area. Breann’s favorite subject in the classroom is math, and she loves Bluffview because of the people. Breann’s favorite activities outside of school are coloring and painting. Breann is the daughter of Amy & Andy Loos.
