    Reading Extravaganza

    Hello Bluffview Families!

The time has come for our annual reading extravaganza! The event will be held at Bluffview on March 28th, from 2:30-4:30.

We are inviting students K-6 to join us for a two-hour reading extravaganza.

    • K-3 students will move through different stations; including flashlight reading, a physical activity, a snack, and a read-aloud from a community member.
    • E2 students will have the opportunity to practice and share an exciting reader’s theater performance. Snacks will be provided.

Permission slips to participate were sent home in Wednesday folders.  You can also find one below.

Leading up to the event, March 1st – 21st, there will be a school-wide reading challenge (a reading log was sent home in green folders and can also be found below). Students can record the number of minutes they read over the course of three weeks. If we hit our goal of 50,000 minutes read collectively, there will be a special surprise!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us!

    Sincerely,

    The E1 Team

    Montessori Week

Montessori Week 2025 1 - Bluffview Montessori School

We are looking forward to this year’s Montessori Week on February 24-28, 2025, as we plan a number of events to showcase what is unique and impactful about Montessori education. During the week, the Children’s House and Erdkinder students will partner to provide “high tea” to E1 and E2 students, a featured practical life activity for Montessori schools. On Wednesday, Bluffview staff will share a favorite “work-of-the-hands” with students, recognizing in the Montessori philosophy that the hand is the “tool which can make what the mind sees real.” The renowned spoken word poetry company Project Voice will perform for Erdkinder students and lead them in a spoken word workshop. Thursday evening features our annual Spaghetti Dinner where students practice the Montessori virtues of service and courtesy. On Friday, all students will receive a free Bluffview t-shirt for their “going out” day where students apply classroom learning in real-world settings.
