Explorers of the Week
Two of the many students demonstrating virtues this week:
Justin Clark is a 3rd grade student of Ms. Mariah’s E1C classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtues of creativity and assertiveness when he came up with creative answers for a listening exercise in music class. Justin’s favorite work in the classroom is “Parts of a Mammal ”, and he loves Bluffview because it is super fun and he gets to spend time with his favorite teachers. Justin’s favorite activity when he is not in school is playing the xbox, especially the racing game “Forza Horizon 4”. Justin is the son of Joe & Melinda Clark.
Brynn Beckmann is a 5th grade student of Ms. Amy’s E2C classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of caring when she offered to go outside of the classroom and grab garbage debris that was blowing in the wind. Brynn’s favorite work in the classroom is “test tubes”, and she loves Bluffview because of the great teachers and staff. Brynn’s favorite activity outside of school is playing with friends. Brynn is the daughter of Jared & Elana Beckmann.

No School Monday, November 9
There is no school on Monday, November 9th. There will not be essential worker child care. However, there is meal-pick up.
Since there is no school on Monday, Group A will have school Tuesday, November 10, and Wednesday, November 11.
Group B’s schedule does not change. They will be in class Thursday, November 12, and Friday, November 13.
Preschoolers should keep their normal schedule.

Two of the many students demonstrating virtues this week:
Lilly Bublitz is a 6th grade student of Ms. Speltz’s E2B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of helpfulness when she helped Ms. Amber with a project. Lilly’s favorite subject in the classroom is math and she loves that there are no desks at Bluffview. Lilly’s favorite activities when she is not in school is doing art, talking to friends, and playing games with friends. Lilly is the daughter of John Bublitz & Carly Johnson.
Emma Neefe is a 6th grade student of Ms. Amy’s E2C classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of responsibility when she patiently waited for further instruction in PE. Emma’s favorite subject in the classroom is math, and she loves that classrooms at Bluffview have students from multiple grades in them. Emma’s favorite activity outside of school is watching tv shows with her mom. Emma is the daughter of Alan & Dawn Neefe.

Winona Goodfellows
The Winona Goodfellows Fund has been in existence for more than 100 years, providing countless Winona-area children with warm winter clothing and footwear.
Winona Goodfellows currently provides more than 700 vouchers of $40 each fall to income-eligible children in grades preschool through six enrolled in Winona County schools.
Applications are due Friday, November 6. You can apply online by going to https://winonagoodfellows.org/. You can also turn in the form that was sent home in your child’s folder a few weeks ago to your child’s teacher or the front office. You can also print the form, Goodfellows application, here.
Vouchers will be mailed directly to your home address.

You can sign up here for free meal pick up for when your child(ren) are off-site in hybrid or distance learning. All meals received while learning onsite are free as well.

Liam Anderson is a 2nd grade student of Ms. Molly’s E1B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of self-discipline when he worked very hard and quietly in art. Liam’s favorite subject in the classroom is math and he loves that he can eat breakfast right away when he gets to school at Bluffview. Liam’s favorite activities when he is not in school is playing in the sandbox and playing video games with his friends. Liam is the son of Seth Anderson & Tami Verwey.
Grayson Peck is a preschool student of Ms. Anna’s CH3 classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of helpfulness when he helped clean up a spill in the classroom. Grayson’s favorite work in the classroom is sandpaper letters, and he loves library time at Bluffview. Grayson’s favorite activity outside of school is playing with his brother, Evan. Grayson is the son of CJ & Taylor Peck.
