    Explorers of the Week

    Two of the many students demonstrating virtues this week: 

    Briar McIlrath is a Kindergarten student of Ms. Katie’s CH2 classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtues of helpfulness and service when she helped clean up and is always willing to help classmates when they need assistance.  Briar’s favorite work in the classroom is maps, and she loves Bluffview because of the works she gets to do. Briar’s favorite activity outside of school is to color. Briar is the daughter of Phil & Jessica McIlrath.

    Shawn Hemstock is a 6th grade student of Ms. Schmit’s E2B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtues of responsibility, caring, and courtesy when he helped Mr. Andy shovel before school.  Shawn’s favorite class is physical education, and he loves Bluffview because it is fun. Shawn’s favorite activities outside of school are biking and playing soccer. Shawn is the son of James & Jenna Hemstock.

    Love & Logic workshop

    Chris Peterson, “The Parenting Professor”, is offering “Parenting the Love and Logic Way”, a 6 part parenting program full of stories, laughs, and skills designed to give you practical skills that can be used immediately.  It will be held for 6 Sundays, starting on January 5th, 3 – 5 pm at the WSU Tau Center.  Click below for more information.  Registration is due by December 26.  Turn into Henry Schantzen at Bluffview.

    Explorers of the Week

    Finn Van Fossen is a 5th grade student of Ms. Schmit’s E2B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of helpfulness when he helped clean off shelves in the classroom.  Finn’s favorite work in the classroom is test tubes, and he loves Bluffview because he gets to choose what work to complete. Finn’s favorite activity outside of school is to work on spreadsheets .  Finn is the son of Jeff and Marcy Van Fossen.

    Hannah Ellings is a 3rd grade student of Ms. Molly’s E1B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtues of assertiveness and helpfulness when she helped another student with following the words of a challenging song in music.  Hannah’s favorite subject in the classroom is math, especially the multiplication stamp game, and she loves library time at Bluffview because she gets to talk with her friends. Hannah’s favorite activity outside of school is to work on crafts, especially making dolls with a hot glue gun.  Hannah is the daughter of Brad Ellings and Brianna Fink.
