Two of the many Bluffview Montessori Students demonstrating virtuous behavior this week:
Ander Corey is a 3rd grade student in Ms. Amy’s E1A classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of helpfulness when he picked up beads from the ground. Ander’s favorite work in the classroom is quiet reading, and he loves Bluffview because of how fun recess is. Ander’s favorite activity outside of school is watching tv. Ander is the son of Calvin Corey and Genevieve Johnson.
Noah Gerdes is a 3rd grade student in Ms. Kiersten’s E1B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of leadership when he guided his classmates in circle and showed great circle keeper qualities. Noah’s favorite work in the classroom is space research, and he loves Bluffview because all the teachers are nice. Noah’s favorite activities outside of school are bugging his parents and kicking a ball around the house, and he wants to be a marine biologist when he grows up. Noah is the son of Justin & Melissa Gerdes.

It is Enrollment Time for Bluffview Montessori School!
January is an important time for enrollment for Bluffview Montessori School for the 2025-2026 school year. Forms were sent home last week. Parents need to complete one of the following forms for each of their children:
Students entering grades 1-8 (presently in grades Kindergarten through grade 7) – complete and return the “Intent to Return 25-26” by January 31, 2025. These should be completed if you plan to return OR if you plan to transfer schools for the 2025-2026 school year. This will help determine the number of open spots available to new applicants during our lottery in early February.
STUDENTS ENTERING KINDERGARTEN – COMPLETE AND RETURN THE “CHARTER SCHOOL APPLICATION 2025-2026” BY JANUARY 31, 2025 TO BE INCLUDED IN THE LOTTERY IN EARLY FEBRUARY. THE APPLICATION FORM MUST BE COMPLETED FOR ALL STUDENTS ENTERING KINDERGARTEN!
Students who are already attending the three year old program and who want to return for the 2025-2026 school year – complete and return the “Children’s House Intent to Return 2025” by January 31, 2025.

Two of the many Bluffview Montessori Students demonstrating virtuous behavior this week:
Nikolai Herrera is a 5th grade student in Ms. Tori’s E2C classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of diligence when he organized the computer cart and plugged everything in without being asked to. Nikolai’s favorite subjects in the classroom are math and science, and he loves Bluffview because he can take his time doing things, he can move around in the classroom, and the teachers are nice. Nikolai’s favorite activities outside of school are building with legos, playing minecraft, and playing board games. He wants to work at Penguin Zesto’s or A & W when he grows up. Nikolai is the son of Hannah Herrera.
Milo Omdal is a 7th grade student in the Erdkinder classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtues of service and responsibility when he helped pick up a shelf of markers that fell down and helped clean up the gym after PE. Milo’s favorite subjects in the classroom are math and science, and he loves Bluffview because it is open ended – he can choose what he wants to do and when to do it. Milo’s favorite activity outside of school is reading, and he wants to work for NASA when he grows up. Milo is the son of Christy and Paul Omdal.

E1 Concert Scheduled for January 30
The E1 students will present the Winter Concert this year on Thursday, January 30. Our program this year is an Earth friendly musical revue for our one and only home called My Planet, Your Planet. There will be a school matinee performance at 1 pm and an evening performance at 5:30 pm. For the evening performance please have students checked into their classroom teacher no later than 5:15.

Matthias Springer is a 1st grade student in Ms. Mariah’s E1C classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of responsibility when he demonstrated classroom rules, was a good sport, and demonstrated good decision making in PE. Matthias’s favorite work in the classroom is blue sentences, and he loves Bluffview because of how fun recess is. Matthias’s favorite activity outside of school is playing in forts his mom makes, and he wants to be an actor in Godzilla when he grows up. Matthias is the son of Chuck & Crystal Springer.
Grace Dunn is a 3rd grade student in Ms. Mariah’s E1C classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of responsibility when she demonstrated classroom rules, was a good sport, and demonstrated good decision making in PE. Grace’s favorite work in the classroom is homophones, and she loves Bluffview because all the teachers and students are nice. Grace’s favorite activity outside of school is playing basketball, and she wants to be a famous singer when she grows up. Grace is the daughter of Brian Dunn and Stephanie Schartel Dunn.

Rylan Wicka is a 3rd grade student in Ms. Kiersten’s E1B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of helpfulness when he worked with a few classmates as a team to clean up a work. Rylan’s favorite work in the classroom is dynamic subtraction, and he loves Bluffview because of his friends. Rylan’s favorite activities outside of school are swimming and going to the Y to play in the gym. Rylan is the son of Lauren Stanislawski and Chris Hilliard.
William Kendall is a 4th grade student in Ms. Tori’s E2C classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of self-discipline when he finished all of his daily work. William’s favorite subject in the classroom is science, and he loves Bluffview because of his friends and the learning he gets to do. William’s favorite activity outside of school is biking around the lake and he wants to be a plumber when he grows up. William is the son of Olivia & Samuel Kendall.
