Explorers of the Week
Two of the many students demonstrating virtues this week:
Jake Pellowski is a 6th grade student of Ms. Schmit’s E2B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of helpfulness when he tried to help Ms. Amber fix the computer in the library. Jake’s favorite subject in the classroom is science, especially studying the elements, and he loves Bluffview because Bluffveiw teaches kindness as well as education, and it allows for friendship with the teacher, making it easier to learn. Jake’s favorite activities outside of school are chess, fencing, and programming. Jake is the son of Joseph and Jenna Pellowski.
Kayleen Stoos is a 2nd grade student of Ms. Molly’s E1B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of helpfulness when she volunteered to help sweep the lunchroom for Mr. Andy. Kayleen’s favorite subject in the classroom is math, especially the chains, and she loves Bluffvifew because she gets to play outside on the field. When Kayleen is not at school, she likes to play games, especially Slapzi. Kayleen is the daughter of Josh & Tammi Stoos.

Reminder – Help fill the barrel at Bluffview for Winona Area Toys for Kids!

Winona Area Toys for Kids has 140 toy donation barrels out in the community this year. One is located right inside the front door here at Bluffview. Last year, Winona Area Toys for Kids provided toys to 900 children from 350 families, serving Winona, Lewiston and the Wisconsin communities of Cochrane, Fountain City and Buffalo City. Please help make this holiday season a bit happier for area children who could use a little more to be thankful for by donating a new, unwrapped toy by December 5.

Swin Schul is a 2nd grade student of Ms. Mariah’s E1C classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of responsibility when she helped clean up books in the library. Swin’s favorite work in the classroom is the checkerboard and she loves Bluffview because she gets to work most of the day. Swin’s favorite activity outside of school is to play with her family, especially Monopoly. Swin is the daughter of Jim and Christa Schul.
Wesley Lumsden is a 3rd grade student of Ms. Molly’s E1B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of respect when he cleaned up right away and sat quietly. Wesley’s favorite work in the classroom is check writing (math work) and he loves Bluffvifew because he doesn’t have to sit at a desk. When Wesley is not at school, he likes to play minecraft. Wesley is the son of Patrick Lumsden and Sarah Lumsden.
