The annual Winter Bazaar and Breakfast is on Friday, December 19. The E2 students will be selling homemade craft items in their classrooms 7 – 9 am and a pancake breakfast will be offered in the community room 7 – 8:45 am for all Bluffview families. In addition, Children’s House students will sing for everyone at 8:00 am.  Please join us for this exciting morning to help support our E2 students’ fundraising for their spring field trip to the twin cities!

Two of the many Bluffview Montessori Students demonstrating virtuous behavior this week:  

Ingrid is a 3rd grade student in Ms. Kiersten’s E1B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of responsibility when she helped a younger classmate with their work. Ingrid’s favorite class is Scouts, and her favorite activities outside of school are reading and making art. Ingrid likes Bluffview school because she is able to see her friends every day. When she grows up, Ingrid wants to be an author. Ingrid is the daughter of Mike and Ruth Abdoo.

Abdullah is an 8th grade student in the Erdkinder classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of courtesy when he helped bring in feed for the chickens; he also displayed the value of stewardship when he taught a group of students how to pronounce a name in Arabic. When he is not in school, Abdullah likes playing basketball or football at the park with friends, as well as spending time with his family. He likes Bluffview school because it is very hands-on and you can be proud of what you accomplish. When he grows up, Abdullah wants to be a mathematician or an engineer. Abdullah is the son of Mohammad Adosari and Firjah Albakheet.

Merchants Bank is once again sponsoring their annual 10 Days of Giving.  Please find below more information about the food drive as well as the various events taking place December 1 – 10.  Bags went home the week of Thanksgiving. There are some bags left in the front office if you have not received one or would like another one. If you are interested in donating to the food shelf, please send filled bags back to school and place in one of the 2 bins immediately inside the front door between December 2 – 10.  Thank you!

Luna is a 1st grade student in Ms. Kiersten’s E1B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of stewardship when she helped clean up the peace corner. At school, Luna likes recess and fork knitting. Outside of school, she likes to play outside in the snow. When she grows up, Luna wants to be a para at Bluffview! Luna is the daughter of Jade and Jeremy Beck.

Noah is a 6th grade student in Ms. Zahrte’s E2B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of helpfulness when he helped many students with their work. Noah’s favorite class is math, and his favorite activity is making snow forts! He likes Bluffview because everyone here is nice, and when he grows up, he wants to be an engineer. Noah is the son of Tiffany Vernon and Joe Talle.
