Explorers of the Week
Two of the many Bluffview Montessori Students demonstrating virtuous behavior this week:
Bella Keller is a 3rd grade student in Ms. Kiersten’s E1B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of courtesy when she shortened her swinging time to give a waiting friend a turn on the swing. Bella’s favorite class is art, and her favorite outside of school activity is seeing her parents. Bella wants to work in a bakery when she is older! Bella is the daughter of Katie and Scott Keller.
Corbin Guyer is a 4th grade student in Ms. Zahrte’s E2B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of helpfulness when he found and picked up items from the fire lane. Corbin’s favorite class is math, and what he likes best about Bluffview is that it is not like a normal public school. When he grows up, Corbin would like to be a police dog handler. Corbin is the son of Trisha Berg and Corey Guyer.

Back-to-School BBQ
This year’s back-to-school BBQ is coming around faster this year as we pair the event with a speaker whom a few of us heard at a restorative practice workshop over the summer. His story of hope and resilience left us inspired and without words. Having published two books, he’ll also spend the day working with students on the power of writing and listening. Donations for the dinner support Erdkinder immersion and field trips. (Vegetarian options are available). This is also the evening when band students can sign up for instrument rental. The back-to-school BBQ event is 4:30-7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12th. Childcare for CH and E1 students available from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
