Busing
As you may know, WAPS provides busing for Bluffview Montessori students in grades K-8. Like last year, you only have to sign up for busing if you meet one of the following criteria:– Your child is new to Bluffview and needs busing– Your child is not new to Bluffview but didn’t use busing last year– Your child used busing last year but you need to make changes (ie: address)– Your child used busing last year but does not need it this year (terminate)Please click on the link below to sign up for busing or to submit changes to your busing schedule or route:If your child utilized busing last year and you have no changes to make, there is nothing you need to do; your registration will automatically update.Please call the WAPS Transportation Department at 507-494-0810 with any busing questions. Bridging and Family Picnic
Announcing details for our annual bridging and family picnic!
We are looking forward to having you all join us for our annual bridging ceremonies and end-of-year family picnic on June 8th. If you are new to Bluffview, “bridging” is the celebration of students who are moving to the next level–kindergartners, 3rd, 6th, and 8th graders. We welcome families of these students to join the celebration according to the schedule below.
Bridging Schedule: June 8, 2023 9-10 a.m. Children’s House Bridging Ceremony–Gym 10-11 a.m. E1 and E2 Bridging Ceremony–Gym CH will host activities in classrooms or outside; CH families can check in with classrooms for hot dog tickets and sign out students for the picnic.
11 a.m. CH and Erdkinder students and families line-up for lunch near the library E1 and E2 families can take bridging pictures, check in with classrooms for hot dog tickets, and sign out students for picnic. Erdkinder students should also be signed out if attending the picnic with a parent or guardian.
11:15 a.m. E1 and E2 students and families line up for lunch 11-1:30 p.m. Bluffview Spring Picnic–Field 4:30 p.m. Erdkinder Bridging–Gym Additional notes for the day:
- The attached permission form went home with students in green folders yesterday.
- Families will need to pick up hot dog tickets from their student’s classroom teacher before the picnic. Tickets for family members/guardians will be with the youngest or only child’s teacher.
- Siblings are welcome to join families for the bridging celebration and would need to be signed out from their classroom teacher or assistant.
