Solar Eclipse – April 8th

There will be a partial solar eclipse on Monday, April 8th. It begins at 12:49, will reach magnitude (most coverage) at 2:04, and end after 3pm.  Bluffview is supplying safety glasses, especially since the magnitude will take place right at dismissal time.  Education about the importance of the glasses will be given.  Some of the classes may plan activities as well.

For more information, see the 2024-eclipse-safety-sheet or visit https://science.nasa.gov/eclipses/safety/.

Explorers of the Week

Two of the many Bluffview Montessori Students demonstrating virtuous behavior this week:

Cora Wangberg is a 6th grade student in Ms. Amy’s E2C classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtues of helpfulness and responsibility when she helped out around the classroom without anyone asking.   Cora’s favorite subject in the classroom is math, and she loves Bluffview because of the different methods used to teach students. Cora’s favorite activities outside of school are dancing, playing the piano and clarinet, and spending time outside, and she wants to be a teacher when she is older. Cora is the daughter of Aaron & Robyn Wangberg.

Sophia Lippman is a 5th grade student in Ms. Amy’s E2C classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of leadership when she was a great leader when the 3rd graders came in.  Sophia’s favorite subject in the classroom is math, and she loves Bluffview because of the way teachers make learning fun. Sophia’s favorite activity outside of school is drawing. Sophia is the daughter of Erich Lippman and Dawn Tevis.
