Explorers of the Week
Two of the many Bluffview Montessori Students demonstrating virtuous behavior this week:
Delaney is a 4th grade student in Ms. Johnson’s E2C classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of compassion when she stopped the field Gaba ball game to check on a classmate who had fallen in the middle of the field. When Delaney is not in school, some of her favorite hobbies are painting and reading. Her favorite part about Bluffview Montessori is that “we do not have to sit at desks and we can move around.” When she grows up, Delaney wants to be a teacher. Delaney is the daughter of Drew and Amy Althoff.
Kane is also a 4th grade student in Ms. Johnson’s E2C classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of courtesy when he helped another student pick up the things they dropped. Kane’s favorite class is math, and his favorite hobbies are hockey and playing on his iPad. When he is older, Kane wants to be a cop, firefighter, or babysitter. Kane is the son of Greg and Elizabeth Martinka.

Two of the many Bluffview Montessori Students demonstrating virtuous behavior this week:
Zoey is a 5th grade student in Ms. Kaul’s E2A classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of responsibility when she helped a 4th grader log into their computer. Zoey’s favorite class is art, and her favorite hobbies outside of school are doodling and reading. When she is older, Zoey wants to be a veterinarian! Zoey is the daughter of Jayme and Preston Votruba.
Max is a 3rd grade student in Ms. Mariah’s E1C classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of responsibility when he put extra equipment away at the end of PE. Max’s favorite part of Bluffview is that he has really nice teachers and he learns cursive, and his favorite outside of school activity is playing pool and watching movies with his stepdad! When he grows up, Max wants to be in the army like his older brother. Max is the son of Alex Felton.

Club’s Choice Fundraising
The Club’s Choice Fundraiser has started! Packets will go out to youngest child and only child families on Monday, September 22nd. Money raised will go towards Montessori classroom material upgrades. Order forms and money are due by Monday, October 6th, and Delivery will be Wednesday, November 5th from 2:15pm-3:30pm at the school.

Poppy is a preschool student in Mr. Josh’s CH1 classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of responsibility when she helped fold laundry and put it away. Poppy’s favorite class is recess, and when she is not in school, one of her favorite activities is playing with her stuffed animals. Poppy’s favorite part about Bluffview Montessori School is picking her prize for Explorer of the Week! Poppy is the daughter of Olivia and Samuel Kendall.
Kiyen is a 6th grade student in Ms. Kaul’s E2A classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of respect when he set a great example as the first line helper for the rest of the class. Kiyen’s favorite class is PE, and his favorite activity outside of school is football. When he grows up, Kiyen wants to be in the NFL! Kiyen is the son of Clinton and Jena McCullough.

Bella Keller is a 3rd grade student in Ms. Kiersten’s E1B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of courtesy when she shortened her swinging time to give a waiting friend a turn on the swing. Bella’s favorite class is art, and her favorite outside of school activity is seeing her parents. Bella wants to work in a bakery when she is older! Bella is the daughter of Katie and Scott Keller.
Corbin Guyer is a 4th grade student in Ms. Zahrte’s E2B classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of helpfulness when he found and picked up items from the fire lane. Corbin’s favorite class is math, and what he likes best about Bluffview is that it is not like a normal public school. When he grows up, Corbin would like to be a police dog handler. Corbin is the son of Trisha Berg and Corey Guyer.
